How To Save Any Broken Makeup Compact

There I was putting on my favorite blush when it decided to slip out of my fingers and on to the floor. I watched in horror as in landed onto the ground, I fell to my knees and prayed that the blush did not shatter. I prayed to the makeup gods, "Please don't be broken, please, please, please!!!!!" I opened the container with one eye closed and peaked inside to see my blush in 1,000 tiny pieces.

This experience has probably occurred to many, where you try to salvage the shattered pieces but in the end you just end up throwing the tiny compact away and buying another one. Next time when this end of the world experience happens, all you will need is some rubbing alcohol to do the trick!

Here's what you will need:
Rubbing alcohol
1 stirring stick of some sort (toothpick, popsicle stick)
Tissues

Start by crushing the shattered pieces of makeup into smaller ones. Take the cap of the alcohol and fill it up a little more than half. Simply pour the alcohol all over the top of makeup and stir. This is where the makeup will turn into a paste, then re-form the paste to fit back to the containers shape. Let the makeup dry for a couple hours or until that paste is soft but not completely hard. At this stage, take a tissue or napkin over the top of the paste to make it smooth so it ends up looking just like it did when you bought it the first time! Let it dry completely overnight, your makeup should look and function the way it always was!!

This process will work for eyeshadows, bronzers, pressed powder, and blush!
